Rescue Trauma & Casualty Care (RTACC) Core Content
The Rescue Trauma & Casualty Care (RTACC) Core Content offers some of the most up-to-date education and training in trauma and casualty care to emergency service personnel.
This training content has been developed by a team of leading doctors and health care professional from disciplines ranging from pre-hospital care and emergency medicine to anesthesia and critical care, with specialist input from fire and rescue and technical rescue specialists. It aims to immerse the learner in their own environment, empower them to deliver interventions and treat a wide range of time critical and potentially life threatening features of trauma.
This innovative remote training platform is now available to the Emergency Services, Close Protection Operatives, Industrial Emergency Response, and Search & Rescues Teams.
Our Training is Accredited & Approved
You will receive a certificate of completion of the RTACC Core Content. This training is accredited and recognized by the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS England). Our content is clinically underwritten by suitably qualified Critical Care Doctors and Prehospital Care Clinicians provided by The ATACC Group and the wider ATACC Faculty and backed by the expert Medical Advisory Group.
The training has also been approved for 16 hours Continuing Professional Development Credits through the Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Branch (EMLAB), Ministry of Health, British Columbia, Canada.

The objectives of this education is to prepare remote learners to deal with serious medical and trauma incidents in an immersive way that develops knowledge, skills and confidence. It is designed to support Emergency Service workers, Close Protection Operatives, Emergency Responders and High Risk Industry to respond to medical and trauma emergencies in the context of their role.
The following topics are covered in this training: Scene Safety, Kinetmatics & Mechanism of Injury, Massive Hemorrhage, Airway, Spinal Trauma, Respiration, Head Injury & Other, Oxygen Administration, Medical Emergencies, Cardiac Arrest, Automated External Defibrillators, Mass Casualty Incidents & Triage.
To undertake this training, you must be at least 17 years old. Learners must have an understanding of basic First Aid and ideally have had some formal trauma training.
It will help broaden your knowledge of treating trauma patients and empower you to save lives.
Learners will have 1 year to complete the online training.
This remote learning platform was recently created to help support the emergency services. To date, over 150 First Responders in the Province of British Columbia, Canada have gone through this training.
